Greenhouse Laborer

Job description

General hands-on labor in wholesale potted plant production greenhouse; prepare potting soil; fill pots with soil; haul plants and pots of soil; irrigate crops; apply pesticides, fungicides, and plant growth regulators; plant maintenance; plant and trim; harvest plants; order assembly; pack plants into boxes; load delivery trucks; unload on-site deliveries; general greenhouse maintenance; dig holes/ditches; mow and weed-eat; haul gravel for interior walkways; replace bench boards; apply and remove roof whitewashing compound.

8/3/2026 for 8 workers. Approximate staggered entry 8/17/2026 for 6 workers.

Special Requirements

Monday-Friday, Schedule, start/end times, & hours per week will vary based on seasonal demand. Anywhere from 40-80 hrs/wk, start time as early as 7am and end time as late as 7pm. Rotating Saturdays and Sundays 8am-12pm. At least 2 workers must have a valid drivers license or willing to obtain a drivers license within 60 days of reporting to work. Workers who possess a valid Texas drivers license or are able to obtain said license within 60 days of hire, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers. These workers would need to provide written permission for employer to review their driver's record, and be eligible for employers vehicle insurance (i.e. have a clean driving record).
