Job description

Duties may include: Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: operate various equipment/trucks/tractors for planting, spraying and harvesting of crops. Clean/maintain machinery, prepare and fix tilling and planting equipment. Grain handling, hauling farm commodities. Unload grain trucks. Maintain farm grounds/mow. Precondition and maintain cattle: Feed, vaccinate, prepare and fix equipment when needed for feeding cattle. Sort, vaccinate, and haul cattle to pastures. Maintain fence. Round up cattle off pastures. Bale, stack, and haul alfalfa and hay fields. Maintain water tanks. 60 minute meal break Crops: wheat, corn, beans, alfalfa hay & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.
