Job description
We operate a grain farm where we plant corn, beans and wheat. We plant in the spring and harvest in the fall and winter. Employees will need to harvest grain in the fall and winter, haul the harvested grain to grain bins. In the spring employees will need to assist with planting of the crops. During the growing season we do not need additional help. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.
Special Requirements
Must have a regular driver's license. Must be able to obtain the Illinois J51 license to operate the required farm trucks within 30 days of hire. Employer will conduct post-hire background checks and post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee. Drug test are conducted to enforce a drug free workplace, failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will not employ anyone with a violent or theft background. Job requires 3 months experience.
