Job description
Prepare calving facility. Calve out calves during the calving season. Medicate, vaccinate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Care for newborn calves and nursing mothers. Monitor newborn calves and nursing mothers. Isolate sick calves. Castrate, brand, clip or tag newborn calves. Feed cattle during snowy/subfreezing periods when no seasonal pasturelands remain available for them to naturally graze upon. Add dry bedding. Remove snow from farm property. Break ice formation in water tanks daily. Fix and repair fencing damaged by drifting snow. Wean all calves during the livestock weaning season. Maintain and repair livestock facilities. Winterize farming equipment.
Special Requirements
Driver's License in 30 days. Clean driving record required.
