Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Duties may include: Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: operate various equipment/farm trucks/farm tractors for planting, spraying and harvesting of crops. Clean/maintain machinery and equipment. Grain handling, hauling farm commodities. Maintain farm grounds/mow. Precondition and maintain cattle: Monitor birthing of baby calves, hay all cattle, haul water to cattle, mix feed, monitor health, vaccinate. Operate feed truck/pay loader. Clean pens. Maintain fence. Manure hauling. May haul cattle to market.
Crops: corn, soybeans, wheat, triticale, alfalfa, oats, sorghum & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 50lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
