Cashier

Job description

Receive and disburse money, process credit card transactions, tally daily receipts, stock shelves, mark prices on items.

May perform other job duties pursuant to 41-2011, Cashier.

F.a.5a-F.a.6b: 35-40 hrs/wk; OT may be offered during busy months; 8-hour shifts; 5 days/wk (Sun-Sat; shifts vary and may include weekends; business is open 7 days/wk); shifts may be between 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Schedule varies.

F.b.9a: Workers will be paid no less than $11.25 per hour. Employer may pay higher wage rates to workers based on seniority with employer and level of skill. Overtime hours may vary and will be paid no less than $16.88 per hour.

F.c.1: The H-2B Temporary Cashiers may perform duties at the following locations owned and operated by Balsam Shops, Inc.:

Mackinac Island, MI 49757

7531 3rd Street
Mackinac Island, MI 49757

F.d.1: If the employee resides on the mainland, employer will provide daily boat transportation from the mainland dock to and from Mackinac Island, or employee may report directly to the worksite on their own. Employment is within walking distance of boat docks and island housing.

Special Requirements

No formal education, training or experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.
