Farm Laborer

Job description

Sort and package and warehouse corn seed produced by this farm. Keep work area clean.
Seasonal Packaging Operators work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations

Manager to ensure that seed packages meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include:
Performing work activities safely.
• Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time
* Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
* Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator's certificate.
• Operating bagging equipment according to instructions
° Ensuring that bag labels are accurate, neat, legible and professional in appearance
• Application of appropriate tags and/or labels to seed packages
*Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity;
* Ensuring that seed pallets are neatly stacked and securely wrapped from packaging line; deliver finished seed pallets or boxes to the warehouse.
* Prepare and clean (if needed) packaging materials to be used according to customer
specifications. This would include boxes and paper bags.
Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area

Seasonal Rebag Operators work closely with the Rebag Supervisor to meet customer quality and packaging requirements during repackaging processes. Responsibilities include:
* Performing work activities safely.
* Lifting and stacking materials up to 68 lbs for extended periods of time
* Standing to fill and close packaged product for extended periods of time.
* Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator's certificate.
* Operating bagging equipment according to instructions

* Performing work activities safely.
* Successfully pass the forklift training and receive an operator's certificate.
* Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area
