Grain Silo Laborer

Job description

**RFI**
1. We handle corn, wheat, soybean, and milo. Cleaning tasks primarily involve sweeping loose grain into grain pits to ensure a clean workspace. This will be done with brooms.
2. Workers are expected to assist in greasing gears on machinery and performing minor repairs if necessary. Workers will use grease guns and hand tools such as screw drivers and hammers. Machinery includes grain legs (vertical conveyor systems). If some aspect of the conveyor fails, workers will assist in repairs.

Workers are primarily responsible for loading and unloading product from trucks and cleaning the worksite. May occasionally be required to perform minor maintenance/repairs to mechanical components such as belt replacements, greasing machinery, etc.

Special Requirements

Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident. Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
