Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Run packing tractors and tarp silage. General lubrication, service (Check fluids), and incidental repair to machinery. Drive trucks to transport crops and commodities to elevator or storage area. Help with general property maintenance at sites to include site cleaning, filling holes with dirt, road maintenance, building fence, painting, mowing weeds/grass, spraying weeds, moving manure, cattle pen maintenance, and pest management. Operate tractors, loaders, trucks and other equipment.

Special Requirements

Employer requires drug screen post hire at employer's expense due to company policy. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
