Job description

Crops: Corn, Soybeans, Watermelons

Watermelons: Perform manual and mechanical labor to set up, maintain, and uninstall irrigation systems and participate in irrigation activities. Walk fields and uproot unwanted weeds and plants by hand and place them in designated areas. Duties also include field sanitation. Harvest, grade, sort and load watermelons using hand tools; manually unload fruit from trailers, clean, and sort fruit by size into assigned packing area; erect bins, and place bins and pallets at packing stations.

Corn/Soybean: Workers will receive grains and oilseed crops into grain storage facilities using conveyance equipment; clean, organize, and maintain shop and other work sites; chop and weed-eat weeds in fields and shop yard; clear and maintain irrigation ditches; daily maintenance on equipment, machinery, buildings, and fences; operate pickup truck to locate and complete repairs; winterize equipment at end of growing season.

Special Requirements

Walk, bend, stoop, push and pull for prolonged periods of time. Pitch, catch, lift, carry and load up to 50 pounds repetitively.
