The branches are already cut before arriving onsite. Employees do not cut or harvest branches from trees at any stage of the process. H-2B workers will not operate forklifts. Forklifts move and stack pallets of finished products for storage and shipment. Employees do not move pallets by hand. Employees will only use a broom and dustpan to sweep greenery debris and dust from the floor. A 1-gallon spray tank will be used to minimize airborne dust while sweeping. Employees will dispose of trash in garbage bins. Employees will take finished wreaths/centerpieces and pack them into boxes based on the product dimensions. Employees will place a kit inside each box, seal the box using a hand tape dispenser or a carton sealer, and stack the sealed boxes onto pallets. This application covers multiple duties involved in the overall wreath production process. Makers assemble wreaths from raw materials. Cutters prepare the noble and fir greenery. Packing and moving duties are combined because employees pack finished wreaths and pass them to the end of the table to be packed onto pallets.

Makers (All Positions)
Primary duties may include:

Hand tie or crimp Noble, Cedar, Pine, Holly, etc into Wreaths according to established designs, weights, and sizes.
Trim and arrange Noble, Cedar, Pine, Holly, etc into Centerpieces or Swags according to established designs, weights, and sizes.
Hand tie or machine tie Noble, Cedar, Pine, etc into Garlands according to established designs, weights, and sizes.
Will be expected to work inside (no heat) and outside in all kinds of weather and must have suitable clothing and footwear.
Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere.
Must be able to work in a safety aware environment.
Help maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Required to attend weekly safety meetings.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, possible weekends.
Will be expected to help other positions as required.
Any reasonable task request by the company.

Cutters (Wreaths & Garlands piecework Swags & Centerpieces hourly):
Primary duties may include:

Carry, sort, cut greens to specific sizes Noble, Cedar, Pine, Holly, etc. into useable sizes for makers.
Will be expected to work inside (no heat) and outside in all kinds of weather and must have suitable clothing and footwear.
Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere with all areas.
Must be able to work in a safety aware environment.
Help maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Required to attend weekly safety meetings.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, possible weekends.
Will be expected to help other positions as required.
Any reasonable task request by the company.

Hourly Job:
Primary duties may include, but not limited too:

Carry, sort, cut greens to specific sizes, and pack boughs of noble, cedar and pine.
Work with a motorized belt, strapping machine, hand and foot stapling machine, pallet jack, and handheld pruners.
Make boxes, pack, strap and palletize boxes or crates.
Decorate wreaths and / or centerpieces.
Will be expected to work inside (no heat) and outside in all kinds of weather and must have suitable clothing and footwear.
May work in a cooler' type environment (approx. 37 degrees) and must have suitable clothing and footwear.
Ability to work effectively and in a cohesive team atmosphere.
Must be able to work in a safety aware environment.
Help maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Load finish material into trucks
Insert wreaths hangers
Dump non-reusable greens into trash bins
Sweep warehouse
Required to attend weekly safety meetings.
Wear PPE
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, possible weekends.
Will be expected to help other positions as required.

Special Requirements

Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
3 months experience in production jobs in a commercial or agricultural setting.
Able to maneuver around garland machines, production tables, motorized belts, fork lifts, boxes, pallets and crates, inventory, production supplies, etc.
Must be able to lift and carry 15-40 pounds repeatedly.
Must be able to stand and / or walk 8 to 12 hrs a day.
Must have good dexterity skills.
Must be able to use pruners and other hand held equipment
