Job description
Preventative maintenance & repairs of mowers, blowers, general landscape equipment, light duty gasoline powered trucks (no heavy duty truck work requiring a commercial drivers license), tractors and utility trailers used for landscape operations. The tractors we service are Kubota, Hitachi and Hyundai with diesel engines, however these employees would not service or perform engine work. The work that they perform on these machines would be limited to maintaining the interior and exterior cleanliness and often times power washing these machines. The general landscape equipment includes gas powered lawn mowers, back pack blowers, trimmers, chainsaws, brush cutters, and other related landscape power tools. We perform regular service and repairs on a fleet of 60 plus light duty trucks, 80 plus mowers and 300 plus pieces of general landscape small engine equipment. This includes blade sharpening, drive belt, lubricant and tire changes. The tools and techniques used to perform this work includes wrenches, screwdrivers, air powered impact tools with sockets, ratchets, hammers, and most anticipated mechanic tools. Periodically there may be a need to assist a landscape crews perform the following tasks: Apply fertilizers; prepare lawns & flower beds for spring season; Mow, trim & edge lawns; water turf & flower beds, perform spring, fall & late season cleanups; weed beds; plant trees, shrubs, lawns, & flowers; spread mulch; mid-season pruning; install, repair sprinklers, installation of motarless segmental concrete masonry units
Special Requirements
Driver's license or ability to obtain a driver's license
Pre-employment drug testing required. Able to lift 50lbs. Monday - Sunday schedule, must be able to work Saturdays & Sundays as needed. Normal schedule is from 7:00am to 4:00pm. Second shift 1:00pm to 10:00pm may be requested. Days & start/end times may vary based upon weather.
