Job description

The worker will perform manual agricultural labor related to the planting, cultivation, harvesting, and grading of watermelon, green beans, peas, and sweet potatoes. Duties include, but are not limited to: Hand harvesting watermelons, green beans, peas, and sweet potatoes. Picking, cutting, sorting, and grading produce according to quality standards. Grading produce into boxes, bins, or containers
Loading and unloading harvested crops. Pulling weeds and performing general field maintenance. Assisting with planting, cultivating, and caring for crops as directed. Removing damaged or diseased produce from the field.Cleaning and maintaining work areas, equipment, and packing areas. Following all food safety, quality control, and employer safety procedures. Performing other related agricultural duties as assigned. Workers must be able to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and repetitive hand motions throughout the workday.. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. All physical requirements will take place in an outdoor environment exposed to the elements for extended periods of time.
