Job description
Assist with the packaging of produce in a climate-controlled production facility with rooms kept at 40- 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Tasks include: dumping product from bins onto processing and packing lines, handling, lifting, verifying and securing packaging materials in a warehouse, packing clamshells of product into shipping boxes, ensure presence of label/apply label if missing, stack finished product on pallets and label for shipping, and cleaning containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools, sort fruit for processing or packing into clamshells. Must maintain a safe work area. Entry level; requires supervision.
Special Requirements
Job requires working frequent bending, grabbing, pulling, and lifting, to include repetitive overhead lifting. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., when necessary. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Work hours are 8:00AM-3:30PM M-F and 8:00AM-1:30PM Sat. Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers.
