Job description

Workers will perform aquaculture duties on approximately 130 acres of company-leased water parcels designated for the cultivation of oysters, shrimp, and fish (see attached lease documentation). Daily tasks include planting oyster seed, juvenile shrimp, and young fish into specially designed cages, net pens, or aquatic containment systems. These enclosures are anchored throughout the leased water parcels and accessed by boat.

Workers will routinely inspect, maintain, and repair damaged cages, nets, lines, floats, and related aquaculture equipment, particularly equipment affected by storms, hurricanes, tides, rough water conditions, or aquatic predators that may damage or threaten aquaculture stock. Workers must handle all aquatic species carefully to avoid injury and stress while monitoring growth and development throughout the production cycle.

Please see Addendum C for additional job duties.

Special Requirements

Applicants must have at least one (1) month of work experience performing aquaculture duties involving live aquatic species such as oysters, shrimp, or fish. No education is required. Experience must include basic knowledge of handling aquatic stock, cleaning and maintaining cages or containment systems, and monitoring growth and health conditions in a water-based environment.

Please see Addendum C.
