Job description
Operate stationary equipment such as bale press to perform post-harvest tasks such as ginning; record weights and other identifying information including weight of bale and seed; manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery; guide products on conveyors to regulate flow through machines; observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; adjust, repair, and service machinery and notify supervisors of malfunctions; daily upkeep and cleaning of equipment while ginning; during times of peak need and depending on weather or crop conditions, hours requested may increase to up to 12 hours per day; work at night may be requested; employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
