Job description
Perform the following seasonal duties: Feeding Cattle/Cleaning out Feed Bunks. ScrapingBarns/Hauling Hard Pack Manure/Bedding. Calving/Calving Pen Preparation and Clean Out.Inspect livestock for Illness and Injuries. Heat Detection/Heat Pen Set Up. Opening FrozenWaters/Filling Waters. Working and Vaccinating Cattle. Maintaining Exterior Fences. Fenceline Clean Up. Snow Removal/Salting Drives. Maintaining Feed Equipment. WeldingMaintenance. Breeding/Breeding Pen Set Up. Receiving and Unloading of Feedlot Cattle.Feedlot Barn Maintenance and Set Up. Preg. Checking and Sorting Cows. Other generalseasonal cattle related duties. May need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.Farming with: Beef Cattle. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a valid non-commercial state drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid non-commercial state drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles. Exceptional performance may be rewarded with additional compensation or benefits at the employers discretion.
