Job description
Plant, cultivate, and harvest a variety of vegetables according to employer specifications.
Prepare fields for planting, including tilling, mulching, staking, and laying irrigation lines.
Hand weed, thin, prune, and hoe crops as needed.
Pick, sort, grade, pack, and load produce for storage or shipment.
Operate and maintain basic farm equipment and tools used in crop production.
Apply fertilizers and assist with irrigation activities under supervisor direction.
Clean and sanitize work areas, packing facilities, and equipment.
Assist with crop protection activities, such as covering crops and monitoring field conditions.
Load and unload harvested produce and agricultural supplies.
Follow all food safety, worker safety, and employer policies and procedures.
Perform general farm labor related to the production of mixed vegetables, and other produce.
Special Requirements
2 months agricultural experience required.
