Job description

Performs duties like drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Run tractors to pull various pieces of equipment. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Irrigate crops during the growing season. General lubrication, service (check fluid), and incidental repair farm machinery. Drive trucks to haul wheat, corn, beans, hay, and sugar beets. Mend fencing.

Special Requirements

Repetitive movements. Must be able to work unsupervised at times. Must be willing to get hands dirty. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (1) month experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
