Job description
Workers will be required to wash, disinfect, and bake livestock trailers each time a trailer leaves the livestock confinement. Workers will be required to work in livestock confinements in limited shift sizes. Workers will be required to work inside the livestock confinements to disinfect and clean the buildings. Workers will clean, sanitize, and disinfect chutes, tractors, pumping equipment, crop farming equipment, vehicles, and trailers, which are all on the farm. Workers will remove snow from around the livestock confinements and road on the farm. Workers will be required to disinfect the snow removal equipment after each use. Workers will be required to handle/transport dead/living livestock. Workers will be required to transport agricultural commodities from/to employer-owned fields to/from employer-owned storage. Equipment to be operated/driven to/from farms/fields owned or operated may include ATV, pickup, truck, semi-trucks, or tractor. Please see ETA790 addendum for additional information and details.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months experience operating full size semi tractors is required. Commercial Drivers License or foreign equivalent is required. Workers will be terminated if they are deemed unable to safely operate heavy farm equipment. Must be able to follow detailed biosecurity protocol as well as follow safety protocols and work together to maintain a safe working environment. Workers must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds for 75 yards. The Employer will conduct a pre-employment background check, at the Employer's expense, as a condition of employment. Additionally, the Employer reserves the right to conduct a post-employment background check, at the Employer's expense, if the Employer deems such a check necessary. Post-employment drug test is paid for by the employer.
