Job description

We need seasonal employees to assist with our grain and hay production. For the grain operation daily work includes operating farm equipment and the application of fertilizer, tillage of the soil, planting the seed, and use spraying applications for weed, pest and fungi control. The harvest consists of the use of a modern combine machines to harvest the grain for sale of the grain. We also utilize the use of a self-propelled forage chopper to harvest silage and either a large or small baling machine to harvest the hay. We spend much time hauling the grain to the elevators both during harvest and post-harvest seasons. We preform all maintenance and repairs on the farm equipment when we are not attending to the other duties on the farm. Employees will be required to operate tractors, fertilizer spreaders, spraying equipment and harvest equipment. The general knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance will be needed to preform everyday task on the farm. They will need to be able to communicate and work well along side of other employees.

**Please note that in 2022 we will move our starting date to 3/1 to cover our entire planting season.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive pushing, pulling, walking, repetitive movements, frequent stooping, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests to enforce a drug free workplace at no cost to the employee. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire background checks and will not employ anyone with a violent/theft criminal background. Must have a regular drivers license and be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
