Job description
Operate Semi-Trucks to haul grain. Operate Agriculture equipment and machinery used in the farming operation. Inspect, service, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment. Dismantle defective machinery and equipment for repair using hand and power tools. Repair or replace defective parts and reassemble equipment following repairs.
Test repaired equipment and make necessary adjustments. Test, repair, and replace electrical components and wiring on agricultural equipment. Perform welding, grinding, lubrication, cleaning, and routine servicing of farm machinery.
Prepare and maintain agricultural equipment for the upcoming farming season. Operate skid steers, loaders, tractors, and other equipment to remove snow and ice from farm driveways, grain-storage areas, equipment areas, and access routes.
Maintain clean and safe agriculture equipment and work areas. Speak and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions and safety perform assigned duties.
Special Requirements
One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain class D driver's license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
