Job description
Employees will keep the outside of commercial buildings (office buildings, retail centers, etc.) in clean and orderly condition by manually removing snow and leaves from sidewalks, driveways, yards, or parking areas, using snow blowers, leaf blowers, rakes, plows, ice chippers, or salt spreaders; gather and empty trash and debris by hand or with a trash picker; fall/winter storm cleanup including clearing debris from grounds; and dormant tree/shrub winter pruning. Clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools when not in use. Entry level; requires supervision.
Special Requirements
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire upon suspicion of use. Incentive for receiving valid U.S driver's license (driving is not a requirement for the position). Winter Technicians who have a valid U.S. driver's license and drive company vehicles between worksites will be paid an extra $0.65 per hour (driving is not a requirement of all workers in the position). Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
