Snow Removal Worker

Job description

Workers will perform physical tasks related to the seasonal cleaning and removal of snow and ice from building walkways, entrance steps, and immediate pathways. This includes pushing, manual shoveling, moving, and cleaning snow and ice from sidewalks and building entrances. Use walk-behind snow blowers or power sweeping equipment to clear snow from immediate building surroundings. Load debris, trash, and accumulated winter refuse onto trucks for disposal. Pretreat and spread salt, sand, and ice-melt pavement treatments on pedestrian walkways and entrances to maintain clear, safe building access. Clean and perform routine cleaning, maintenance, or minor repairs on hand tools and sidewalk snow removal equipment when not in use. Worker will not drive or operate an automotive vehicle; worker does not need a driver's license

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Some overtime and weekends required
