Job description
Perform general winter farm duties including maintenance and repair of farm equipment, machinery, and agricultural infrastructure during the winter months when equipment is not actively being used for planting, growing, or harvesting operations. Inspect, service, clean, lubricate, repair, and prepare tractors, implements, trucks, and other farm equipment for the upcoming crop season. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to farm buildings, fences, gates, drainage systems, irrigation components, storage areas, and other agricultural infrastructure used in the farming operation. Manually carry, connect, install, repair, and maintain field drainage tile and related drainage systems. Clean and organize farm equipment, agricultural work areas, and storage areas. Assist with general farm maintenance and preparation necessary to ensure equipment and agricultural infrastructure are ready for the upcoming planting and growing season.
Special Requirements
A class D drivers license are required to operate farm vehicle to drive to and from work.
