Restaurant Helpers may be asked to cook food items according to chef instruction using friers, ovens, broilers, and stove tops.

Operate point-of-sale system at a service counter or host stand by accurately entering food and beverage items for purchase and running payment cards.

Restaurant Helpers will perform food preparation duties such as washing, peeling, cutting, weighing, measuring, and portioning meats and vegetables; storing food in containers labeled with contents and date/time; providing cooks with needed items and assisting cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed. Bus tables, wash dishes; unbox, unload, and store food and supply orders; maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen area by mopping, sanitizing, and removing trash. Complete simple serving tasks like running foods to tables along with coffee, water and condiments, restock food and supplies as needed by servers, and communicate with back-of-house. Operate point-of-sale system by accurately entering food and beverage items for purchase, run payment cards. Following snow events, sometimes daily when needed to keep operations running, remove snow or ice from walking pathways adjacent to restaurant areas using sand/salt and/or handheld tools such as shovels and snow/ice scrapers.

Special Requirements

Must have the ability to work on one's feet for long periods, may need to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
