Job description
Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery such as front end loader, disc, baler, etc. to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay, corn, soybeans, cotton, milo; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or underfilling bed or trailer, and drive to market or storage facilities; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Clear land. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Two (2) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive trucks. Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
