Job description
Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to: operating various equipment (combines, tractors, farm trucks, etc.) for harvesting of crops. Maintain/repair machinery, equipment, trucks as needed. Grain handling and storage, hauling farm commodities and farm related products. Maintain farm grounds/properties. Other miscellaneous duties assigned. This job involves manual labor, lifting, carrying, long days in the heat. Rain/snow days are typically spent in the shop repairing equipment and preparing for the next days’ work. Crops: corn, soybeans. Employer may request drug testing upon reasonable suspicion to enforce a strict drug-free workplace policy. Failure to pass a drug test will result in termination. Employer may assign other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work; possible extended hours depending on weather.
Special Requirements
CDL recommended but not required.
