Job description
Room & Laundry Attendant/Public Area Cleaning workers will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all rooms, suites, and indoor common and public areas at the employer’s property, including entry ways, restrooms, common rooms, dining rooms, patios, and offices. Duties include vacuuming floors, dusting, replenishing linens and towels, making beds, disinfecting bathrooms, and washing interior windows using a cloth and cleaning spray, replenishing guest supplies such as linens and toiletries, turning on appliances such as televisions, coffee machines, and fitness equipment to ensure they are working, and deleting voicemails on room phones. Room & Laundry Attendant/Public Area Cleaning workers will also be responsible for separating, pre-treating, washing, drying, folding, and storing laundry items such as towels, sheets, and blankets, prepare laundry items for Room Attendants for delivery, and occasionally clean dryer lint traps in dryer machines. Room & Laundry Attendant/Public Area Cleaning workers will also be responsible for removing trash from Room Attendant carts to hotel dumpsters, transporting linens from Room Attendant carts to the laundry room, organize guest supplies in storage rooms, empty trash receptacles, ensure fitness equipment is in working order, stock and maintain the coffee station, and assist the front desk with delivering received faxes, newspapers, and amenities to guest rooms per guest requests. May be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 9:00am - 5:00pm, 8:00am - 4:00pm, or 3:00pm - 11:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Special Requirements
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least three (3) months of housekeeping or cleaning experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club.
