Job description
Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or insecticides as appropriate; Move livestock from one location to another manually or using trailers; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Assist with calving and weaning; Inspect, maintain, fashion, and repair facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Drive equipment to distribute feed to animals; Provide mineral to cattle grazing wheat pasture; Break ice in watering facilities; Sort cattle for sale. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements
Must be able to obtain following hire appropriate CDL and obtain clean driving record to drive grain trucks. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
