Job description

Shovel snow from walks, driveways and/or parking lots and spread salt in those areas. Perform commercial and residential snow/ice maintenance including winter storm cleanup, trash/debris pickup, and snow/ice removal. Clean and perform routine maintenance and/or minor repairs on equipment and tools when not in use. Use hand tools and equipment such as ice picks, shovels, and blowers. Prepare equipment and materials for upcoming storms. Clean up and prepare properties after snowstorms. Potential property clean-ups; such as clean up, removal of leaves, branches and debris, trim back perennials to prepare for upcoming snowstorms. Working under extreme weather conditions. Listen and follow instructions and work safely with others.

Special Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age due to the operation of equipment. Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free work environment. Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling, positioning, moving, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds (team lifting may be required for heavier items).
Applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform all duties described and must be available for the entire period of employment. Work will be performed throughout all areas of intended employment. Work is performed outdoors and requires exposure to cold, snow, ice, wind, and other adverse weather conditions. Employees must be capable of performing physically strenuous labor for extended periods in extreme cold and inclement weather. Work schedules may vary depending on weather conditions and operational needs. Hours may fluctuate due to weather conditions.
Employees must follow all safety policies and procedures, operate equipment safely, follow supervisor instructions, and work effectively as part of a team.
