Job description
Feed and water livestock; monitor feed and water supplies; mix and distribute feed, additives, and medications according to prescribed portions; load, haul, and distribute feed using trucks, tractors, and other farm equipment; examine livestock for signs of illness, injury, disease, or abnormal weight gain; administer routine vaccinations and medications as directed and arrange for veterinary care when necessary; move livestock, feed, and equipment between locations using vehicles or other farm equipment; and inspect, maintain, and perform routine repairs on farm equipment, machinery, livestock pens, yards, fences, and buildings.
Special Requirements
Requires three (3) months of previous verifiable farm experience. Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, frequent stooping or bending, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. No driver's license is required.
