Job description
We need seasonal employees to assist with taking care of our cattle. Job duties will include caring for, feeding, and handling cattle; putting up and taking down temporary fencing as needed to manage and move cattle; monitoring cattle for health and well-being; driving trucks to haul cattle multiple times during the season; hauling feed needed while the cattle are being cared for; operating equipment to load and unload feed and other materials; operating farm equipment to clean and remove manure from feed yard pens and cattle areas; and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on trucks, tractors, farm equipment, fencing, and other equipment used in the cattle operation. Employees will also clean and maintain equipment and work areas as necessary to support the seasonal cattle operation. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift 100lb bales. Must have a CDL or equivalent to haul cattle or be able to obtain within 30 days. Requires 3 months farm experience.
