Job description

Duties may include: Attend to cattle. Duties may include bedding, feeding, watering, herding, grazing, branding, catching and loading cattle. Scraping and hauling manure and hauling feed. Inspect, maintain feeding and manure equipment, repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards and fences. May maintain records on cattle; examine cattle to detect diseases or injuries; assist in calving; administer medications, vaccinations or insecticides as appropriate. 30 minute meal break. & other related Farmworker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate. See attached Addendum C.

Special Requirements

Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer. Employees are expected to keep employer-provided vehicles clean and free of trash. Workers may not post or remove notices, signs, or other instructions from the employer's bulletin boards or the employer's property without specific authorization from the employer. Only workers may live in employer-provided housing unless other arrangements have been made with the employer.
