Job description
Fall duties include drive and control farm equipment to till soil and to plant, cultivate, and harvest crops. May perform tasks, such as crop baling or hay bucking. May operate stationary equipment to perform post-harvest tasks, such as husking, shelling, threshing, and ginning. Winter duties include tending livestock and repairing and cleaning fences, ranch buildings, and general equipment maintenance and repairs. Tending livestock usually includes feeding, watering, birthing, branding, shearing, roping, sorting, pasturing, herding, grooming, or trimming, cleaning stalls and basic doctoring skills for the ranch's horses, cattle, poultry, pigs, and/or sheep. Repairing fences to separate pastures and building and maintaining all buildings on the property, maintaining machinery, trucks, tractors, and other equipment used in ranching.
Special Requirements
Time will be given for breaks. Possible Saturday work. Drivers License encouraged but not required.
