Job description

Manually plant and cultivate trees. Load/unload small trees, plant saplings; duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizer; transplanting, weeding, thinning and pruning, watering, weeding - using hand tools as required. Keep underbrush and vegetation clear of fence lines; install and repair fence as needed. Clear trees ready for transplant to protect root zones before digging up; lay out tree rows, set stakes; install, test and maintain irrigation and well setups/equipment for watering. Prepare holes for planting using hand tools with a max depth/width of 3 ft. Place topsoil and soil amendments, fertilizer and assist with transplanting, watering, staking and mulching new trees. Duties may also include general construction of farm structures as well as fencing, irrigation installation, and land clearing. Starting wage from 10.40 to 18.50, based on tenure and experience. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 80 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements.. Possiblity of monthly bonuse based on tenure. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments.
