Job description
Feed and water livestock; place hay and supplemental feed on feed pads; monitor and move livestock as directed by management to prevent pasture overuse; maintain clean, safe, and stable feeding and watering areas; clean feed pads, manure, and runoff areas; maintain manure collection areas and handle manure for use as fertilizer; maintain feed bunks, water troughs, shelters, and related equipment; assist with protecting livestock from extreme winter weather; and perform general livestock and farm maintenance as directed by the employer.No CDL required. No commercial truck driving required.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 2 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
