Landscaping Worker

Job description

Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hands, power tools and equipment. Perform a variety of tasks such as: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, decorating gardens with stones or plants, installation of rock gardens, ponds, decks and mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30AM until 5:00PM; some weekends and overtime as needed (schedule varies.) At least 40hrs/week.

Travel details:

Travel is inherent to the job. Sequoia Landscaping, Inc headquarters is located at 30836 Dupont Blvd., Dagsboro, Delaware 19939 where the landscaping crew meets each morning to gather. Landscaping crew then travels to various locations in Sussex county, Delaware and Worcester county, Maryland to provide landscaping services to company's customers. Employer will provide each work crew, at no charge to worker, with daily transportation among the worksite locations in Sussex County, DE and Worcester County, MD, as well as transportation back to office in Dagsboro, DE.

Work will be performed in the following cities:

Cities in Sussex County, DE: Dagsboro, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Milton, Milford, Georgetown, Millsboro, Ocean View, Frankford, Millville, Bethany Beach, Selbyville, Fenwick Island.

Cities in Worcester County, MD: Berlin, Bishopville, Ocean City.

All the worksites in Sussex County, Delaware and Worcester Ccounty, Maryland, are located in the same Salisbury, MD-DE Metropolitan statistical area and are within normal commuting distance of the company's headquarters.

Special Requirements

THIS POSITION REQUIRES CONSTANT STANDING, BENDING, AND REACHING. THE EMPLOYER WILL PROVIDE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING IN THE PROPER USE OF LANDSCAPING TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT.
