Job description
Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts, horticultural specialties, and field crops. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, hand pruners, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; or cleaning, grading, sorting, packing, unloading and loading harvested products.
Special Requirements
Must possess ability to perform physical job duties outdoors in a variety of weather conditions for 8-10 hours per day.
Must possess the ability lift/move 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis.
Must be able to work with plants in a farm setting and work adjacent to or with nursery equipment, agricultural chemicals, and other related agricultural activities.
