Job description

Crop Care I: $14.26 per hour
Workers must meet production standards at a level equal to or greater than 85% of the average of the group performing the same task. Workers are expected to perform any and all of the listed tasks assigned to the worker in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining the work pace of the group or crew.

Crop care tasks will include the following:
Cleaning and maintenance of Irrigation canals, ditches, and related facilities. Maintenance of pressurized irrigation facilities. Hand weeding of vegetable crops. Removal of nuisance vegetation, fallen limbs, and trees, general property maintenance and cleanup including burning of vegetation on field margins and non-crop areas to eradicate weeds. Application of approved herbicides to field margins and non-crop areas to eradicate weeds using ATV or backpack sprayer. Assisting equipment operators during application of crop care products.
Assisting equipment operators during cultivation of crops for weed abatement. Sanitation of storage buildings and storage bins.
Repairs to harvest bins.

Crop Care II $14.76 per hour
All tasks of a crop care level I plus the following:

Operate forklift for moving bins for sanitation. Lead weeding crew and oversee storage sanitation processes. Maintain required records of sanitation. Cut, rake, bale and stack hay Perform daily maintenance on tractors, and hay equipment. Operation and maintenance of Silage equipment. Employer will conduct drug testing post-hire and at the joint employers' expense.

Special Requirements

Employers may give discretionary bonuses. Workers must have 3 months of crop production and maintenance experience. Employer will conduct drug testing post-hire and at the joint employers' expense.
