Job description
General farm work on a diversified farm: including but not limited to planting, harvesting, and processing vegetables. Use hand tools, such as, but not limited to, shovels, hoes, pruning shears, knives, and ladders. Duties may include but are not limited to, tilling the soil, applying fertilizer, transplanting, weeding, picking, cutting, cleaning, sorting, packing processing, and handling harvested products. May be required to operate machinery and do various other field work. Applicants should have a general knowledge of vegetable production, plant propagation and greenhouse maintenance and propagation. Work requires workers to bend, stoop, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis. Work is usually performed outdoors, sometimes under hot or cold and/or wet conditions. Two months experience in the above duties listed is preferred.
Special Requirements
Exposure to extreme temp, lifting 50 lbs, repetitive movements, extensive pushing and pulling, extensive walking, frequent stooping.
