Job description

March-May: feeding and sorting cows/heifers, calving, repairing fences, cleaning work area, assisting in vaccination of calves, driving pickup to get supplies; September-October: sell yearling calves, monitor calves on grass pasture, assess injuries; April-November: receive stocker calves, move to grass pasture for grazing, pull calves off grass at dormancy to be taken to market and sold; June-December: operating hay equipment, swathing, raking, bailing, and transporting hay from field to storage facilities, hand sprigging grass to repair pastures and hay fields, pasture maintenance such as digging thistles and spraying fence rows and thorn trees; cutting up thorn trees and downed trees in the pasture; driving farm vehicle; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite.
