Job description

Forestry worker. Spray or inject vegetation with insecticides to kill insects or to protect against disease or with herbicides to reduce competing vegetation. Use backpack sprayer. Thin trees by removing diseased or undesirable trees by pruning. May operate power tools and equipment however most work performed using manual hand tools. All work is performed outdoors during all types of weather conditions. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug and alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. All testing will occur post-hire and is not a part of the interview process. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday. Must be able to walk several miles per day carrying tools and/or back-pack spray gear through forest. Requires minimum 3 months verifiable work experience as a forestry worker. Workers must commit to work the entire work contract period.

Special Requirements

Prolonged walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
All work is performed outdoors in the forest during all types of weather conditions.
Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply
with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination.
Negative result required before commencing work.
Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
Must be able to lift 75 lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the working day.
