Agricultural Equipment Operators

Job description

Workers duties will include but not limited to: planting, cultivating and harvesting sugarcane, rice and soybeans, prepare fields, attach farm implements, e.g. disc harrow and weed cutter to tractor using bolts mand mechanics hand tools, drive tractors with implements to cultivate, spread fertilizer, spray, plant, harvest, etc. Load and drive trucks to transport farm supplies and tools to and from the fields vehicles and equipment, repair fences, irrigate fields, weigh crop-filled containers and record weights, field sanitation duties, shovel work, drainage, cleaning and maintaining yards around the house and fields an keep free of debris, and any other general farm labor that may arise from working on a sugarcane/grain farm. Drug tests may be performed post hire at no cost to the workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Worker must abide all posted work and safety rules. Workers must be physically able to perform all duties described.
