Job description
We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop farming operation where we grow popcorn, soybeans, and essential oil peppermint. Employees will operate farm equipment to till soil and assist with crop planting. Employees will need to operate a crop sprayer after showing that they are capable. Employees will assist with sprinkler irrigation operation including repairing and maintaining irrigation systems. Employees will be required to complete routine repairs, maintenance and sanitation of farm equipment and implements. Complete routine grounds and farm building upkeep. Occasional weed and brush removal will be required as well. Employees will operate farm equipment during each crops production cycle. Employees will haul harvested peppermint and unload at the distillery. After harvest is complete employees will need to complete post-harvest soil tillage and field operations to get the field ready for the next season. Employees will also haul harvested crops and deliver to location storage and market locations.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive sitting, walking, frequent stooping, and repetitive movements. Must have a regular driver's license and 3 months experience.
