Job description
Agricultural Equipment Mechanics: The agricultural equipment mechanic job duties are seasonal in that the workers are only needed to repair farm equipment (vehicles, harvesting machines, etc) during the harvest season. Work Environment: Primarily in a shop environment, occasional field environment with some travel from site to site; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces or terrain. Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Following the supervisors instructions, the mechanics will diagnose, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various powered and rolling equipment such as cars, trucks, buses, farm equipment and generators. The workers will maintain appropriate service and repair records. May infrequently and sporadically engage in equipment repair in fields.
Special Requirements
Must have a valid commercial drivers license or above, pass a required drivers license background check and mandated drug and alcohol test.

Primary functions require sufficient phsical ability and mobility work in a mechanic shop environment; walk, and sit for a prolonged periods of time; frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and twist; push, pull, lift and/or carry weight up to 50 pounds.
Operate assigned equipment and vehicles; verbally communicate to exchange information. See and hear in the normal range with or without correction.
