Job description

Workers will manually plant, cultivate and harvest vegetables including; thinning and weeding plants using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes and rakes. Workers will also dig, cut, pick, bunch, clean and grade crops by hand. Workers will be responsible for culling spoiled and immature vegetables. Workers must take care to not scar or bruise vegetables during harvesting and/or packing process. Workers must be able to lift 50lb. crates/boxes of harvested vegetables. Workers may drive tractors to pull harvest wagons and may move, repair and assemble irrigation equipment and participate in farm and field clean up.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
