Contract Date: September 13, 2021 to January 31, 2022
75 Unnamed field workers will be performing, Citrus harvesting, Citrus pruning, Grape pruning, other farm general labor duties, forklift operator, company vehicle drivers.

Citrus Harvest: Under the direction of the field foreman/ supervisor, workers grab a ladder using their arms and lean it against the citrus tree. Workers carry an empty harvesting bag around their neck and upper body to place the product they are harvesting. Workers hold a pair of scissors by hand to harvest the product. Climbing the ladder, workers cut the product and place it in the bag. Full bags weigh between 50 to 100lbs. Once the bag is full the workers climb down the ladder and walk for approximately 5 to 40 feet to deposit the product in the bin/ container. The cycle is repeated until the end of the workday. The maximum lifting requirement is 50 lbs. However, workers may choose to fill the bag and/or add bag extensions to fill the bag with the product to capacity, which may weigh between 50lbs to 100bs.

Pruning Citrus: Crop maintenance; workers will wear protective gear, including goggles, long sleeve shirts, pants, and gloves. Workers will remove any low-lying skirting branches, remove swollen stems, cut any dead or diseased wood, and cut any wood laying on top of one another.

Pruning of table grapes: the worker uses pruning shears to cut the rods of the grape vine up to a certain length according to the companys indications. The worker also removes any dry wood from the vine. Worker removes any excess rod from the vine and any rod that is attached to the existing trellis system. In the end the worker stacks all the rods and dry wood to the center of the row.

General Labor:
Employees may be asked to do general labor duties such as, fertilizing, cutting weeds, pruning trees and planting. Weed Wacker, pruning lopper, handsaw or chainsaw may be used to perform general labor. Training will be provided. Chainsaw may be use if they have experience.

Company or CalVan Drivers:
1. An employee may drive a company vehicle over the road.
2. Employee picks up workers from different housing site/ pick up points and take them to an assigned work site and at the end of the work day takes workers back to the housing/ pick up point.
3. In order to drive a company vehicle, an employee must possess a state issued license, and register as an FLCE driver.
4. Employee may pick up equipment such as ladders, jeeps, toilets etc.
All employees in this position (H-2A as well as corresponding domestic worker), will be given the opportunity to obtain a drivers license and register as an FLCE driver on a voluntarily basis.
The driver license and the FLCE certificate are not a pre hire job requirement. No job applicant will be denied an employment opportunity due to the lack of drivers license or FLCE certificate at the time of application and/or hiring.
Further, no worker (H-2A as well as corresponding domestic worker) will be terminated for a failure to obtain a drivers license or FLCE certificate.
The employer assures that employees who drive the company vehicles are compensated for their time of driving for the benefit of the company. This includes, driving other workers to and from worksites, taking workers to the grocery store, moving equipment and other duties the company may ask for.

Forklift Operator:
Under the direction of the supervisor the forklift operator is responsible for loading, and unloading and moving material of citrus laboring. All forklift operators, H-2A or corresponding workers are to be forklift operator certified.
