Job description
Plant cultivate, irrigate & propagate (orange, lime, grapefruit). Use post hole diggers erect/repair farm fence. Use hand tools to graft donor stock onto recipient stock technically sufficient so the graft takes. Farm, fields & shed sanitation. stake, tie, & prune nursery plants. Heavy lifting to 70lbs. Frequent bending and stooping.
Special Requirements
Must recognize 10 different specie of citrus and sub-specie of citrus. Must recognize stage for grafting, make bark incision at best location & particular incision pattern for specific specie of rootstock, insert properly, then secure insert to root stock.
Drug test given post hire, paid for by employer. Any drug test given is post hire in the event of injury or suspicion of worker being under the influence during work hours, this is to keep a safe working environment for all workers. If a worker is working under the influence of drugs or alcohol this puts other employees at risk of work injuries or getting hurt, therefore to keep a safe working environment we may conduct drug test in the event we suspect a worker to be working under the influence.
