Production Helper

Job description

Help operators by performing duties requiring less skill. Duties include supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work area and equipment. Tasks include but not entirely: Operate machinery used in the production or distribution process and assist machine operators. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards. Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists. Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete. Mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, conveyances and trucks. Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.

Minimum 35 hours per week up to possible 50 hours per week. Open 7 days/week. 12-hour shifts, 6:00am-6:00pm and 6:00pm-6:00am. Normal schedule includes 3 days on/2 days off/2 days on/3 days off and may be Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Work days and shift time may vary, breaks and lunch included within timeframe.

Special Requirements

Must be able to work a 12-hr rotating shift, including weekends and holidays. Day and night shifts assigned based on need. Pre-employment criminal background check and pre-employment / post-injury or incident and reasonable suspicion drug test required, paid by employer. Applicants must complete an employment application. Must be able to physically work contract from October 1, 2021 June 30, 2022. Able to lift 50 lbs multiple times during 12-hr shift. Bend and stand repeatedly. Able to push 80lbs on rollers/wheels. Work Environment: Warehouse is hot and humid in the summer months, cold during the winter months. High noise level requires use of hearing protection.
